First and foremost I want to thank all of my friends, family
and sponsors who supported me at the Queen of the Universe Pageant. Although, I did not win, it was a wonderful
lesson learned. I was honored to shoot with an amazing photographer Isaac
Mathew White and most importantly I was able to meet 56 wonderful girls from
all over the world.

This week has been really exciting but overwhelming
at the same time. I have started my preparation for the pageant Queen of the
Universe, where I will be representing my great grandparent’s country of Portugal.
The pageant will take place on March 16th at the Saban Theater, in Beverley
Hills, California. The pageant was started by Real Housewives Beverly Hills new
star, Joyce Giraud. I am very excited to be a part of this pageant and see
where this journey takes me.
By clicking on this link, you can check out my
official contestant headshot, as well of some of the other contestants, who
will also be competing for the title.
I’ve started my preparation by attending crossfit
classes 4 to 5 times a week at Shield Crossfit of Covina. I am also looking to
improve and hopefully in the near future enter into a competition with my
husband.
This week, I also finally took my cosmetology
practical exam in the city of Glendale and successfully passed. I started
cosmetology school when I was 16 years old as an apprentice and never got
around to taking my state board exam, so I was excited to finally finish and
become certified.
I also got around to finally completing my reel, and
I am super excited to share the final edited version with all of you. As some
of you know, I attended Azusa Pacific University where I graduated with my BA
in Broadcast Journalism. I aspire to one day become a legal correspondent for a
large news network.

Memory Lane
I know, I have been lacking with my blog post but I wanted to share a couple of highlight of 2013. This year was truly wonderful. I was honored to win the title of Miss California Latina, which I was able to travel and represent the state and place Top 10 at the international pageant, Miss Latina US.Although, things didn't turn out the way I wanted them too. I still had the time of my life in Cancun and such a wonderful experience.
Lastly,
for those of you who don't know I actually got married Last September to the love of my life. Warren <3

This week has been very exciting as the schedule for Miss
Latina US has officially been posted. It looks like I will be arriving in
Cancun August 18th and attending rehearsals, activities and dinners
throughout the week of competition. I am super excited to represent the Golden
State at this very prestige pageant. At the event, we will have performance by
Boris and Cuevas. Overall, I can’t wait to meet at the new contestants from
around the United States and compete.

Here, are some of my official pageant headshots. A big thank you to Hugo Benson, award winning photographer for his amazing photos. Also, thank you to Emmy Makeup for making me look spectacular.
Yesterday, I had a very busy day. I went to downtown Covina, for a photo shoot that was sponsored to me for winning the title of Miss California Latina. Big thank you to Strike –a-pose photography for the amazing photos I had done. I did a total of three outfit changes and total different looks for each. Here, are some highlights of last night’s photos shoot.
