Special Olympics

I was blessed and honored to be invited to the Special Olympics Fundraiser, where I got to meet and greet with lots of folks in the San Gabriel Community.  The special Olympics primary goal is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.

 

The event took place on Wednesday May 22nd at Spaghetti Eddies Italian restaurant, located in the beautiful city of Glendora. The event featured numerous of Los Angeles County Police Department (LAPD) employees, volunteered by serving food to the attendees. Overall, the event was a huge success and I look forward to more opportunities of being involved with such a great organization.
